Steam Cavity Expansion Model for Steam Flooding in Deep Heavy Oil Reservoirs

Steam flooding is crucial for the development of heavy oil reservoirs, and steam cavity significantly determines efficiency flooding. Previous studies have elucidated concept overburden pseudomobility ratio; however, thermal energy loss in deep reservoirs during injection needs further investigation. Therefore, this study, vapour–liquid interface theory mathematical integration were used to establish a expansion model. The wellbore heat rate coefficient, overlay, ratio accurately describe reservoirs. proposed model was experimentally validated, it observed that could reflect actual mine conditions. In addition, pressure gradient distribution belt dissipation areas top bottom layers evaluated. results showed influence coefficient on layer primarily range 5–20 m away from well. Furthermore, inversely proportional cavity. As increased, increased. larger area ratio, more pronounced overlay phenomenon, large does not meet requirements chamber. research closely combines with production, study can help mines by providing theoretical support
